  13.         Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  14.         before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  15.         using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
  16.         differ on details -- some request registration while others
  17.         require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
  18.         registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue
  19.         using the software to an updated program with printed manual.

  21.         Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software,
  22.         and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
  23.         exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
  24.         programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are
  25.         of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs
  26.         and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  27.         distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy
  28.         and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a
  29.         specific group. For example, some authors require written
  30.         permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their
  31.         Shareware.

  33.         Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
  34.         should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
  35.         whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
  36.         fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.

  38.         has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
  39.         product, you don't pay for it.

  58.         PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT DATABASE 3.0 is a "shareware program" and is provided at 
  59.         no  charge  to  the  user for evaluation.  Feel free to  share  it  with  your 
  60.         friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of another  system.

  62.         with  quality software without high prices, and yet to provide  incentive  for 
  63.         programmers to continue to develop new products.  If you find this program

  66.         period,  you  must  make a registration payment of  $19.95  to  ACCOUNTABILITY 
  67.         BUSINESS SYSTEMS INC..  The $19.95 registration fee will license one copy  for 
  68.         use  on any one computer at any one time.  You must treat this  software  just 
  69.         like  a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any  number  of 
  70.         people and may be freely moved from one computer location to another, so  long 
  71.         as  there is no possibility of it being used at one location while it's  being 
  72.         used at another. Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  73.         same time.

  75.         Commercial  users of PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT DATABASE 3.0 must register and  pay 
  76.         for their copies of PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT DATABASE 3.0 within 30 days of first 
  77.         use  or their license is withdrawn.  Site-License arrangements may be made  by 
  78.         contacting ACCOUNTABILITY BUSINESS SYSTEMS INC..

  80.         Anyone  distributing PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT DATABASE 3.0 for any kind of  remu-
  81.         neration  must first contact ACCOUNTABILITY BUSINESS SYSTEMS INC. at  the  ad-
  82.         dress below for authorization.
  83.         This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors recognized by 
  84.         the  (ASP) or adhering to similar guidelines for shareware  distributors,  and 
  85.         such distributors may begin offering PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT DATABASE 3.0  imme-
  86.         diately (However ACCOUNTABILITY BUSINESS SYSTEMS INC. must still be advised so 
  87.         that the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of PHOTOG-
  88.         RAPHY EQUIPMENT DATABASE 3.0.).

  90.         You are encouraged to pass a copy of PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT DATABASE 3.0  along 
  91.         to your friends for evaluation.  Please encourage them to register their
  92.         copy  if they find that they can use it.  All registered users will receive  a 
  93.         copy of the latest version of the PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT DATABASE 3.0 system.
